Walker & Dunlop announced that it has arranged $16.7 million in 4% low-income housing tax credit equity for the construction of a 70-unit development in Westminster, Colorado.
The community by Maiker Housing Partners will feature 48 one- and 22 two-bedroom homes for residents earning 30% to 70% of the area median income. Verrbena will also have a neuro-inclusive component serving residents with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
“Verrbena represents an important addition to the affordable housing pipeline in the Denver metro area, combining long-term affordability with neuro-inclusive housing and supportive services,” says Aaron Krasnow, managing director of affordable housing equity at Walker & Dunlop. We’re grateful to Maiker Housing Partners for their partnership in delivering a community designed to serve a broad range of residents and housing needs.”
The development will include approximately 11,000 square feet of nonresidential space along with about 7,000 square feet for a Head Start daycare and 4,000 square feet of exterior community space.
