The organization’s board of directors selected Aldana for her deep organizational knowledge, collaborative leadership style, organizational vision, relationship-building talent, and a demonstrated ability to advance housing and economic opportunity across the Lower and Outer Cape.

“Jay leaves an extraordinary legacy—strengthening the CDP into a trusted regional leader and helping hundreds of residents find housing and hundreds of businesses grow,” said board chair Carole Ridley. “Andrea has played a central role in that progress. Her experience and clear vision position the organization to build on this momentum and meet the region’s evolving needs.”

As chief program officer since 2022, Aldana has overseen all CDP’s housing, small business, and community programs. From 2017 to 2022, she helped lead the Lower Cape Community Housing Partnership, building it into a model for local-level advocacy and capacity-building to support the development of housing and securing a $1 million, five-year state grant to support regional housing advocacy and planning. In part to her efforts, the Lower and Outer Cape has a development pipeline that will produce more than 1,500 housing units in the next decade.
