Dozier Delivers $1.8 Billion in Financing for Affordable Housing

In October, Graham Dozier attended the groundbreaking ceremony for a major mixed-income housing development in Dallas. Palladium Buckner Station will bring 304 residences, including 244 affordable units, next to a commuter rail station.

It is just one of the many affordable housing developments that Dozier has helped finance in his young career.

For the past six years, he has been leading the affordable origination platform at Regions Real Estate Capital Markets, where he has helped provide nearly $1.8 billion in financing for affordable housing developments and established a team focused on permanent financing for affordable housing.

At Regions, Dozier, managing director and head of affordable origination, has become a go-to resource for advice and insight on affordable housing.

The 39-year-old has worked on deals across the country, including the recent acquisition and rehabilitation of a 77-building, 613-unit portfolio called the Jackson Trio in Jackson, Mississippi. Dozier and his team collaborated with the Regions Bank Affordable Housing Group to provide developer Vitus with low-income housing tax credit equity, a bridge loan, and Fannie Mae
permanent debt.

In addition to helping create affordable housing, Dozier says one of the most rewarding aspects of his work is the opportunity to engage with a diverse range of stakeholders.

“This industry is truly special,” he says. “The work can be demanding and difficult, but it’s filled with people who are passionate and dedicated. It feels like a community— everyone is working toward the same goal of addressing the housing crisis.”

Since 2020, Dozier has been a member of Fannie Mae’s Delegated Underwriting and Servicing affordable housing subcommittee.

He and his wife, Meghan, have a growing family in Atlanta.
