MRK Partners Expands Affordable Housing Platform With Integration of Ingerman Development

MRK Partners has announced a major expansion with the integration of Ingerman Development and Ingerman Management Co. into its national affordable housing platform.

The move brings more than 100 Mid-Atlantic communities into the firm’s portfolio that now approaches approximately 11,000 affordable units. It also positions MRK as an end-to-end housing provider, spanning development, preservation, lease-up, and long-term operations.

“This marks a defining moment in MRK’s continued growth,” said Sydne Garchik, the firm’s founder and president. “By integrating Ingerman’s strong Mid-Atlantic foundation with MRK’s expanding platform, we are strengthening our ability to deliver deeply impactful, high-quality affordable housing that meets the needs of today’s communities while building the foundation for future generations.”

According to the firm, the move also strengthens MRK’s ability to deliver a consistent experience across its growing portfolio.

The new deal includes Ingerman’s development and property management teams, while its construction operations will remain with Ingerman and continue independently.

The Ingerman teams will operate within MRK’s shared vision and leadership structure, maintaining their expertise and established relationships. MRK officials said they will continue to work closely with its management partners to ensure seamless operations and a high standard of resident service as the platform integrates over time.

Established in 2005, the company, which has offices in California, Florida, and New Jersey, is one of only a few affordable housing platforms founded and led entirely by women.
